IBP Event and Media Sponsorships

2016-17 Season

The International Beethoven Project is an events and digital content multidisciplinary arts organization with classical music at its core. Now in its 9th season, IBP is focused on bringing people together through the arts, and excite new generations with IBP’s signature approach to classical music. IBP has been positioning itself as the top incubator and producer for the best ideas in classical music and the arts.

World-renowned musicians featured in IBP events include Grammy-winner James Ehnes, German conductor Matthias Pintscher, Glenn Kotche of Wilco, Chicago’s own Rachel Barton Pine, national radio personality and pianist Christopher O’Riley, and Tchaikovsky Competition winner Mayuko Kamio, not to mention the countless visual artists, filmmakers, composers, fashion designers, technologists, dancers and choreographers who have also participated in IBP’s multi-genre and cross-disciplinary festivals. IBP’s extraordinary approach to classical music and the arts has been covered by all major Chicago news outlets (TV, radio, print), as well as by the New York Times, the Associated Press, NPR, CBS, and others around the world from Germany to Korea. By bringing the most creative and talented artists together in multidisciplinary collaborations and providing unparalleled platforms for expression on its various physical and digital stages, IBP is hurtling the classical music tradition into the modern age.

This year, IBP is launching a new digital content production and distribution strategy, which will become a critical outlet for artists and arts advocates. IBP will launch a new website to facilitate its digital strategy, and produce multiple podcasts, videos and films, blogs, as well as top-quality recordings. IBP will also experiment with new technologies such as virtual and augmented reality (VR/AR), mobile apps, video games, and interactive digital systems. Hundreds of artists and arts advocates will be involved in IBP’s digital media development as IBP prepares to celebrate Beethoven’s 250th anniversary in 2020 by showcasing the power of his legacy. As before, IBP will also continue to produce the most memorable arts events in Chicago, and beyond, to further its mission and expand its reach.

Sponsorship Opportunities, 2016-17 Season

IBP Media:

  1. Podcast program, Through The Stage Door, 30 episodes per year (www.throughthestagedoor.org)
  2. Arts and music blog, a platform with contributions from dozens of writers, launching in Winter 2017
  3. Video channel, a platform for the release of art and music videos from artists associated with IBP
  4. Special projects that will include fully produced music recordings, and special video and film projects
